PASTOR'S PEN
From the desk of Pastor Paul

We have had three Tuesday evening prayer meetings, and I am sure there are more to come.
Last evening at the “Shout Out” prayer meeting on the new property, John Christian said the retaining wall on the west end of the property reminded him of the Wailing Wall.
The Wailing Wall is a remaining retaining wall from the expanded Temple complex built during the time of King Herod around the Second Jewish Temple in Jerusalem, where Jewish people go to cry out to God.
Throughout the night, I found myself wondering, “Is there more to that retaining wall than meets the eye?” I was drawn to the thought of the “watchman” in the Bible, where a watchman would stand on the wall of a city alert, awake, and responsible to warn people of danger and announce what was coming.
The primary passages connected to this calling are found in several places:
Ezekiel 3:17 “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel…”
Ezekiel 33:7 “I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so, hear the word I speak and give them warning from me.”
Habakkuk 2:1 “I will climb up to my watchtower and stand at my guard post. There I will wait to see what the Lord says and how He will answer my complaint.”
The watchmen were responsible for calling people to repentance, calling people back to God, and speaking truth without compromise, with both love and courage.
Lord, raise up watchman over the house of the Lord and over our city.
I am excited as Scott Berglund will be ministering the Word this Sunday.

WHAT'S HAPPENING!

The Last 100 Days—The Time is Now!

As we work to finish this building project well, it is important to remember that this is about more than construction. We are building a place for ministry, worship, discipleship, healing, and generations yet to come. And every person has a part in that story.
Some may give substantially, others less; the amount does not matter. Others may pray faithfully. Some may serve quietly behind the scenes. Others may encourage when weariness sets in.
The beautiful thing about a puzzle is that when one piece is missing, you notice it. The picture is not complete without it. The same is true in the body of Christ.
God has uniquely placed gifts, resources, encouragement, and purpose within each person. When we all bring our piece, the picture begins to come together in a way that reflects His glory and His faithfulness.
As we continue moving forward together, may we remember this: no role is too small, no gift is insignificant, and no act of obedience goes unnoticed by God.
Every piece matters.
