Wow! Yesterday was a day when we felt, as a church, that the Lord was calling us to a corporate fast. We have never done that before, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. But wow! Over 50 Grace folks fasted together and then ended the fast with communion and praise. What a powerful night it was! I was so, so proud of the Grace Family.

I am curious what others experienced as they spent this time with the Lord and what specific things the Lord revealed to their hearts.

For me, I was drawn again to Matthew 17:21, where Jesus, Peter, James, and John came back from the Mount of Transfiguration to find the other nine disciples trying to deliver a boy who was apparently demonized. The text says, “This kind goes out only by prayer and fasting.”

What kind? The context of the verse is that if you believe, even if your faith is as small as a mustard seed, you can accomplish much. I believe that it is not this kind of demon, but rather this kind of unbelief that does not leave us except through prayer and fasting.

Corporate prayer and fasting accomplishes much, but what it really does in a church family is eradicate our unbelief and fill us with the spiritual blessings that God has promised.

Thank You, Lord! As we have the faith to finish what God has started, together we shall believe God for great things.

I hope you are reading Ephesians 1. God is ready to do exponential things through us!

Report from the ”Use Your Influence” letters

We wanted to give an update from the “Use Your Influence” evening of letter writing even though responses are still coming in. To date, 47 letters have had responses. We have had responses from New York, Louisiana, Texas, many other states and from neighbors in Buffalo. These responses have brought in nearly $6,000.

Here is what is amazing, another individual offered to match a square foot ($200) for each letter that received a response. (So far that is 47 multiplied at $200)
