PASTOR'S PEN
From the desk of Pastor Paul

I felt led to call for a corporate church fast this Tuesday, August 11. We will conclude the fast at our current Grace building at 6:30 p.m. with communion, praise, and a light snack.
I also made reference to Matthew 17:20–21 (NKJV) over the weekend. I would like to take note of it here:
So, Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”
This kind of what? Is it this kind of demon, or could it be this kind of unbelief? It may be both, but I fully believe it is this kind of unbelief that goes out only by prayer and fasting.
As we are fasting next Tuesday, I believe we should repent of any unbelief in our lives. We should repent of any unforgiveness. We should repent of any short-sightedness. I believe we are to fast so that we will be strengthened for the days to come and spiritually ready should someone show up needing deliverance. Any unhealthy unbelief goes out by repentant prayer and fasting.
I can't wait to begin our teaching through Ephesians 1 this weekend.

The Last 100 Days—The Time is Now!

As we work to finish this building project well, it is important to remember that this is about more than construction. We are building a place for ministry, worship, discipleship, healing, and generations yet to come. And every person has a part in that story.
Some may give substantially, others less; the amount does not matter. Others may pray faithfully. Some may serve quietly behind the scenes. Others may encourage when weariness sets in.
God has uniquely placed gifts, resources, encouragement, and purpose within each person. When we all bring our piece, the picture begins to come together in a way that reflects His glory and His faithfulness.
As we continue moving forward together, may we remember this: no role is too small, no gift is insignificant, and no act of obedience goes unnoticed by God.
Every piece matters.
