Pastor’s Pen

I know few people who can stomach the news these days.  It is easy to go the way of the proverbial ostrich who sticks his head in the sand, because of news that is so frustrating and depressing.  What has become exasperating is the plethora of fake news.  It is one thing when news is slanted or bias; but news that is all together fake can be difficult to discern, leaving us not sure what and who to believe.

One other thought, don’t be distraught by fake news, focus on Good News.  The word of Life, the word of the Gospel is Good News.  Never fake!  So today, let’s take Paul’s words to heart in Romans 1:16, For I am not ashamed of the gospel [Good News], because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile. I am so excited for our next teaching series, “The Power of Good News”  You won’t want to miss it as we learn from God’s Word and celebrate a ton of Good News!
