Ever misplace something, like your keys? We all have. Sometimes we are late for an appointment and we have misplaced our keys, our purse or wallet. Sometimes we even exclaim, “I think I am losing my mind!” Ever been there?
What about misplaced peace? Sometimes we get so caught up in the stress of life that we leave our peace behind. Peace is more than the absence of something like war or conflict. Peace for the believer is the presence of Someone. It is living conscious of God’s heart for us that keeps us in a place of peace.
When we begin to live out of fear or worry it is a sign that we have left our peace behind. Losing our peace usually involves making an agreement which is not true. Such as, “I have so much to do I’ll never get done!” Loss of peace for me comes when I get my eyes on my circumstances and off the Prince of Peace.
So how do you go back and pick the peace back up? Your repent for allowing your emotions to become captive to a lie or a form of thinking that leaves God out of the equation. Without repentance you can’t change your mind and without changing your mind you can’t pick your peace back up.
A great prayer to pray over this Christmas season is, Father please give me some kind of warning when I am about to leave the place of peace you have created for me.

Underground utilities are underway.
Footings and pier are just days away.
The backordered tiles have been delivered and preparations to lay them are underway.
