PASTOR'S PEN

From the desk of Pastor Paul

Isn’t it interesting that after seeing so much in our lives, when troubles come, we fail to remember what we have seen? I am thinking of the resurrection of Lazarus. Jesus specifically mentions conversations with Thomas in the Lazarus passage, so Thomas clearly witnessed the resurrection of Lazarus.

Now just a few weeks later Jesus has been crucified and the resurrection that Thomas had witnessed evidently did not cross his mind. The other disciples even told Thomas Jesus has risen. What was Thomas’ response? Unless I see the nail prints in His hands, and put my finger in the nail prints, and put my hand in His side, I will not believe (John 20:25).

Most of us have witnessed far more of the miraculous than we can remember, and by not remembering we are, like Thomas, doubtful that it can happen again.  I hope you will come prayerfully in faith that with Jesus, the resurrected Lord, nothing is impossible.

So excited to celebrate with you this resurrection weekend.
