Lately, I’ve been reflecting on this powerful quote:
“Breakthrough often happens when we cease being impressed with the size of the problem.”
Hebrews 12:1b–2a (NLT) echoes this truth:
“And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.”
What a timely and encouraging Word. When we focus on our problems—especially the ones that loom large and seem to demand all our attention—we risk magnifying the problem and, in turn, minimizing God. But when we fix our eyes on Jesus, everything shifts. Our problems come into the right perspective:
The perspective of eternity.
The perspective that others have endured and overcome.
The perspective that the Refiner’s fire, though painful, produces something good and lasting when we allow it.
Marlyce and I are deeply aware of the many people praying for us right now. Your kindness and intercession have lifted and strengthened us. We are doing our best not to be impressed by the size of the problem, but instead to stay focused on the greatness of our God.
We look forward to seeing you this weekend.

We are looking for 4 strong people-one with a trailer- to move risers, chairs and dishwasher from our rented storage unit to our storage unit on the new property. This act of kindness will save us $75 per month in the general fund. Every little bit makes a difference.
