Bringing You the Latest Buzz from Grace Fellowship

Building Update
The engineers have staked out the locations for the new utilities, and work will commence within a couple of weeks, though some workers are currently occupied with the Main Street project. We were informed this week that the steel will be delivered in the first week of October. Following this, the building shell can be erected and set in place in about 4 to 5 weeks. By Thanksgiving, we could witness our new building taking shape on the property!

Join our One Miracle at a Time, One Square Foot at a Time campaign by filling out a pledge card.
Don't forget to track our progress on the square footage grid in the foyer at Grace.

From the desk of
Pastor Paul
I used to be a sprinter. Stop snickering! I did say “used to be!” It is true, the older I get, the faster I was. Since my track days, I have learned that my life isn’t a sprint; it is more like a long-distance run—sometimes jog, sometimes walk, sometimes crawl. I am not very fast these days as a runner, but I am conscious of the finish line in my life. I am committed to finishing well! I can’t see the line yet, but I am running toward it. No matter how old you are, you should be conscious of the finish line and finishing well. Racers lose races for two primary reasons: they look back too much and they let up! Your coach would say to you, “Run through the tape”—don’t look back; don’t let up… sprint through the tape!
Paul said in Philippians 3:12-13, "Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead." Great advice from Paul. So today, stretch your neck out to look straight ahead—not back or to the side—but forward to take hold of the life that He has for you.
I’ll see you this weekend to further explore what Christ took hold of for us. This week, we will talk about “Getting a Grip on Life.”
