One of the basic truths of our faith is that God wants us to ask Him for what we need in prayer.
1 John 5:15 And if we know that He hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of Him.
During the days of Ezekiel, God revealed what He wanted to do for His people. Ezekiel 36:37 (NLT)
“This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am ready to hear Israel’s prayers and to increase their numbers like a flock. I really believe what was true in Ezekiel’s day, is true of ours. The Lord wants to hear our prayer and increase our numbers like a flock. But in Israel’s case, and in ours, the Lord is waiting to be asked.
Ruth Graham Lotz said, “My mother said that if there are any tears shed in heaven, they are going to be shed over all of the answers to prayer for which no one ever bothered to ask! What blessing is God waiting to give you, but you haven’t asked Him for it? Why does He wait for us to ask? Maybe He wants us to acknowledge our need of Him. Maybe it’s one way of getting our attention. Maybe it’s the only way we will know when the answers come that it comes from Him, and we don’t credit ourselves or someone else for it.”
There are several ministry needs at GF. Would you join me in asking the Father for His provision.
Matthew 9:37-38 (NLT) He said to His disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. 38 So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask Him to send more workers into His fields.”
