PASTOR'S PEN

From the desk of Pastor Paul

How many times have we said, “I am so frustrated?” More than I care to remember, times of frustration have caused me to spout off out the first thing that came to my mind. Often, I deeply regret what was spouted in moments after it was said. Left unchecked frustrations can color our lives and tarnish our attitudes toward God, life and others.

As dangerous as frustration is, it can also be incredibly fruitful. Most of us have never stopped to think that God might be in some of our frustration. I would like to suggest that He is often in the frustration seeking to change how we think and how we live. When we feel frustrated it may also be that God is seeking to speak to us about deeper character issues. How we treat others. Our levels of patience. Our self-absorption. While we often want to talk about what frustrates us and complain about it to anyone who will listen – God is wanting to deal with the root causes.

A great prayer today is, “Holy Spirit speak to me in the midst of my frustrations about my personal walk with Jesus.”

Can’t wait to see you this weekend!

Building Update

The project is really moving forward, especially with the good weather we’ve been enjoying. If everything goes well, we could be in the new building by Christmas 2026. Answered prayer: Rocky Mountain Power has us on their schedule sometime between February 4-9!

Update on the property that is for sale:

The property has been listed for sale. Feel free to pass on any leads to us.

Dirt is being removed from the front of the property near Fort Street, it has been determined that front can accommodate several commercial lots. Much of the dirt is being used at Cemetery Creek property.
