Pastor’s Pen

I woke this morning with the song by Graham Kendrick, Knowing You Jesus,

spilling from my heart:

All I once held dear, built my life upon All this world reveres, and wars to own All I once thought gain I have counted loss Spent and worthless now, compared to this

Knowing You, Jesus Knowing You There is no greater thing You’re my all, You’re the best You’re my joy, my righteousness And I love You, Lord

Now my heart’s desire is to know You more To be found in You and known as Yours To possess by faith what I could not earn All-surpassing gift of righteousness

Moses asked God to show His glory, in humility Moses asks, “Teach me your ways so I may know you.”

Paul says, “I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection” (Philippians 3:8-10).

Knowing Jesus is our highest calling and greatest privilege.

See you this weekend!
