In Case You Missed the Big Announcement
Grace Fellowship has completed the purchase of 5+ acres bordering Main Street/By-Pass (to the east) and Cemetery Road (to the south). At a point in the future, this beautiful location (campus) will be the new home of Grace Fellowship. Of course, the process of relocation requires much prayer and heavenly wisdom.
What are the next steps?
The next step involves you – On Sunday evening March 27, at 6:30 we will have “Dream Night.” This will be a time where the Grace Fellowship family shares what the Lord has been laying on their hearts for the new property. Please plan to be a part of this evening as Matt Crider leads us.
We will get an artist rendering of what a new facility will look like on the next blank campus (canvas). A building committee is being formed that will listen to the Lord, you, and construction advisers and look toward the most economical, but inspiring building for the glory of God. In addition to the artist’s rendition, we will want to learn the cost of building and expanding onto that campus. Grace Fellowship must get ready for company!
What about our present buildings?
We will continue honoring the Lord and serving our community at 108 N. Burritt until such time relocation is feasible. Everything could be on the table, however, the capital from the Brown House and our present church building will be needed capital for the development of Grace Fellowship on Cemetery Road. No decisions will be made hastily, and of course selling property provides the congregation the opportunity to weigh in with a congregational vote.
As our church, we must make sure that it isn’t a building (whether on Burritt or Cemetery) that defines us, but our love for the Lord, each other, and our community.
Strategic location – strategic vision
This new campus is strategically located to make a difference for the next generation. Every church must address the next generation, to not do so is sure extinction. We will be in a position to be within walking distance from all of the schools, providing after-school tutoring and activities, as well as, after game events. Some of the students touched will no doubt be church leaders in the next generation and beyond.
The new campus will not just be about students, we will be able to hold conferences, concerts, and Equip conferences that will reach people not just in our community but from all over the US. I am thrilled as I look forward to worshipping with people who long to be changed into HIS image.
What is first?
A driveway/walking path will be created by Resurrection Sunday, so we can have our first Sunrise Service on the new property on April 17 at 6:17 AM. I am pleased to announce that David and Marrietta Wright have called and want to be a part of the Sunrise Service. Marietta will be doing “Art from the Heart” at our Community Good Friday service and both services on the weekend of April 17.
It is absolutely going to be fun to watch and see what God does in response to our faithfulness, expectations, and obedience!
