Pastor’s Pen
I have been asking myself, “Am I getting the full benefit of what Jesus died for me to have?” The answer to that question when I am being honest is “no”. The answer is “no” when I make excuses! It is “no” when I look for reasons. God has never promised to give me reasons. When we are busy searching for a reason, we are missing the fact that God is longing to give us the revelation of His blessing and His presence.
In answering the question “am I getting all that the cross provides?” The answer is “no” when I focus on my weaknesses. Most of us do not know our own strength and His strength in us because we stop at our weaknesses and never trust in what the cross can activate in us.
The answer is “no” when my faith is in the wisdom of man, but not in the power of God through the cross. How can I get the full benefit of the cross? How can I allow God to activate the power of the cross in my life? Paul said, in 1 Corinthians 2:2 that he determined to know nothing but Jesus and Him crucified. We spend so much time looking for answers when there is one answer to every question, and it is to “know nothing except Christ and Him crucified.”
Can’t wait to keep exploring Discovering Your Purpose and Destiny as we talk about “Living the Dream” this weekend. I’ll see you in person or online this weekend.
