Pastor's Pen
I was deeply moved by the movie 'Jesus Revolution,' partly because it coincided with my high school years. Although I wasn't a hippie, many of my classmates were. I even had very fine hair that flowed over the tops of my ears and down to the bottom of my ear lobes. Hard to imagine, isn't it? Nonetheless, my heart truly longs for another Jesus revolution.
Greg Laurie recently stated in Decision Magazine: “What my generation termed ‘The Jesus Movement,’ Time magazine referred to as ‘The Jesus Revolution.’ They were correct. A revolution entails a significant change, a return. The same can be said of revival. In essence, Christian revival is a return to New Testament Christianity—the lifestyle we, as followers of Jesus, are meant to embody continually. We are in need of another Jesus revolution, and I am confident we will witness one in our lifetime. However, to experience revival, we must first awaken from our slumber.”
Laurie continues to outline the keys to this Revolution:
There was a sense of anticipation at every gathering.
The Word of God was consistently taught.
People were receptive to the work of the Holy Spirit.
People invited nonbelievers to church and shared with them the message of Jesus.
Our world is in disarray; perhaps only another Jesus revolution can rescue us. Our hope now lies not in my generation but in the younger generation rising up. Yet, my generation can equip, empower, and release the up-and-coming generation to proclaim the glorious Gospel of our revolutionary, resurrected Lord Jesus. Come, Lord Jesus! Come!

Equip 2024 - "But the Church Prayed"
Get a Head Start:
One of the seminars this year is "Destined for the Throne'" based on the book by the same name written by Paul Billhiemer. It would be helpful to have read the book prior to taking the class. Pastor Paul says, "Destined for the Throne" is one of the most influential books in his life.
If you want to get a head start on Equip, we have loaner books at the Information Table in the foyer, just sign it out, read it and bring it back no later than one month.
New Campus Update
Be praying for our building teams both, Building Task Team lead by Casey Friese and the Financial Task Team lead by Pastor Paul as we work through the launch of our building. Prayer for these teams as they work through speed bumps and decisions necessary for us to still break ground this summer.
Thanks for your faithfulness, every little bit makes a difference. Most importantly, thank you for your prayers.
