Pastors Pen

We often wait for God to move and to act, when He, in fact, is waiting for us. Waiting for us to hunger, thirst, believe and by faith step into all that He has promised. Men and women throughout the Bible model for us stepping into all that God has promised.

Both John and Paul received revelations from the Lord.  John said, “I turned around to see the voice that was speaking to me” (Revelation 1:12).  Paul indicates in 1 Corinthians 4:1 that he was entrusted with the mysteries God has revealed. Granted these were special moments in the kingdom of God.

Here is the point I would like us to consider. John and Paul did not receive revelation because they were apostles. They both received revelations because they decided for themselves to go into God as far as they could go in order to receive everything that God had for them.  Both desperately wanted more of God and all that God had for them.

What could happen in each of our lives if we earnestly desired to step into all that God has for us? Greater favor and greater blessing would surely be our experience and deeper relationship with Him would result. Ephesians 1:17 says, “I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better.”

In the days ahead let each of us purpose to step into all He has for us.

Excited about baptisms this weekend.  We will meet at the church for worship and then head to the park and Clear Creek.
