Pastor’s Pen

I want to take this opportunity to outline what I presented on Sunday relative to the 5 ½ acres on the corner of Main Street/Bypass and Cemetery Road. As mentioned on Sunday the owner of the property has verbally accepted our offer to purchase the land for a future Grace Fellowship building. The terms of the purchase are a cash offer of $300,000 with a closing date of approximately October 15, 2021.

Of course, there are several contingencies that must be met before we can move ahead.

Majority vote of Grace Fellowship Congregation (3/4 of those voting).
Engineering geo soil testing to determine the buildability of the property.
Conditional Use Permit granted to Grace Fellowship by the City of Buffalo, Wyoming.
Successful easement granted for access off of Cemetery Road.

The Feasibility Team of Rob Schlichting, Casey Freise, Randy Longnecker, Anna Buckingham, Skip Crawford, and Cristy Kinghorn unanimously recommended this property to the Elders who are in turn recommending it to the Grace Fellowship family.

We will be announcing dates for the Grace Fellowship family to express themselves on this matter in a vote very soon.

Studying the next steps has been a 4-year long process and the sense has always been how can Grace Fellowship be positioned to take as many people as possible to heaven with us? Having a property of our own where Family Night and Student Ministries can continue growing is so important. Our month-to-month rental agreement with Bomber Mountain is tenuous and we have been informed that Bomber may not always be available to us.

I think what I am personally most excited about in this is the stretch of our faith. There are things we will never see come to pass apart from trusting God to do it through us. God’s got this and we get to be a part of it, so join me in prayer that He will guide each of our steps!

Mission Opportunity

GF is planning our next mission trip to the Dominican Republic with Casa por Cristo. The trip will be on December 27, 2021, and the cost is $957 plus airfare and the Covid test. Relocation/Building Fund

Our present building fund balance is $298,052. This is a great time for us to start thinking about the building fund in our giving. You can give online or by marking an offering envelope as Building Fund.

Baptisms
