Building Update
The engineers have staked out the locations for the new utilities, and work will commence within a couple of weeks, though some workers are currently occupied with the Main Street project. We were informed this week that the steel will be delivered in the first week of October. Following this, the building shell can be erected and set in place in about 4 to 5 weeks. By Thanksgiving, we could witness our new building taking shape on the property!

Pastor Paul
We have been launching the teaching recently from Philippians 3:12 where Paul said, Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. We have been focusing in on taking hold of what Christ took hold of for us on the cross.
What I didn’t mention was that Paul wrote those words from a jail cell. Paul was determined to not let his undeserved chains stop him or the gospel from growing and advancing. Paul was not about to choose self-pity or a demanding attitude to keep him from taking hold of the blessing and favor of God. (Yes, favor even in a jail cell). Instead, he chose the interruption of the jail cell to advance his taking hold of all God had for him.
Someone said, "The test of character is what it takes to stop us spiritually." What is slowing you down or stopping you spiritually? Discouragement? The desire to be in control? Failure? God wants to help each of us grow spiritually, that no matter what our circumstances, He can help to propel us to great things for God and greater spiritual growth. Today know that God will give you everything you need to keep growing spiritually. Consider this word of encouragement written from prison: Philippians 1:6 I am sure that God Who began the good work in you will keep on working in you until the day Jesus Christ comes again.
This week a great prayer is “Lord what do I have yet to take hold of?”
