Pastor’s Pen
Last evening Ronda Schlichting announced the member and congregational results of the voting; followed by a time of prayer. While there are several hurdles yet to cross – (Approval of the Special Use Permit, Soil Testing and, easement granted off Cemetery Rd) the vote certainly points us in a forward direction. The voice of the church has been heard. A large majority feel God is pointing us in securing the property for the future church home of Grace Fellowship.
My prayer for all of us now that we have voted is that we come together in a united spirit. More than a building of property – working together in one spirit is the will of God for His church. Psalm 133:1 says, How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! Jesus also spoke how important unity is when He said, My prayer is … that all of them may be one, Father, just as You are in Me and I am in You. May they also be in Us so that the world may believe that You have sent Me.
It is important going forward that we understand Whose Church Grace Fellowship is…
This is not my church, and it is not your church. And as the old song goes, “This land is not your land, it is not my land!” Everything we are attempting to do must be all about God. He is our provider and He is the One Who will lead and Who will guide. This is His Church, Matthew 16:18 says, I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. This is so important as He has not promised to build our church, your church or my church, He has promised to build His church.
Can’t wait to picnic and celebrate the believer’s baptism this weekend! God is good.
